Floyd could've taken this opportunity to promote McGregor like "you see I told you guys he's good". Instead it sounds like he's being completely honest here.

^^ This is exactly what I was telling people as soon as this fight was signed, but I've read in multiple outlets that there are some HEAVY financial penalties involved if either pulls some shady stuff.I'm thinking DQ might be more likely. I didn't realize til a day or two ago Conor lost 2 pts in his own sparring session. That doesn't bode well for what he'll be doing in a legit fight. I think this could end up being a Tyson-like performance, minus the ear biting, with a guy fouling to get out of the fight when things don't go well for him early.
But just look at the picture of Connor and Paulie attached to this article - Connor is reaching, he's way past his feet and has his right hand down at his waist. This guy is a check-hook waiting to happen, a la Ricky Hatton. It doesn't look good for McGregor, that is for sure.Comment

Is that for a DQ too? I was thinking it was just if he did some crazy ass head kick or killbow or something MMA related.Comment

Eh, yea I guess that could be a low blow, rabbit punches or anything than not just some crazy MMA sh^t.But Mayweather claims the UFC hotshot will lose "90 pecent or more" of his estimated purse (which could equal $67.5 million) for the fight, should he use any strike that goes against boxing’s Queensberry rules.Comment

Idk, saying Conor is fighting dirty might entice more fans to buy the PPV. How many cats thinking of buying the PPV wanna see Floyd get mugged? I'd bet a good % of them lol.Comment

Good!! I hope he gets the referees to start doing their job This is supposed to be a boxing match not a MMA fight. On the flip side Mayweather has to realize he can't be pushing on Connor's throat with his forearm.Comment

Inactive but fought for a title like 4 months ago. Conor hasn't fought for 9 months. Point not too valid.Comment

Floyd has sounded desperate all month, going as far as to say McGregor has the edge. He's been hyping up McGregor. I anticipated him using this to hype McGregor up even more, but instead he downplayed it and sided with Paulie, saying he's retired and hasn't trained and that it shouldn't have even lasted 12 rounds with a young guy like McGregor and a retired Paulie. Idk about you but to me this makes McGregor sound weak and sounds like Floyd is taking shots at him for once instead of promoting him.Comment

If you saw Paulie's belly during sparring, you would know what's up. McGregor had been training, Paulie got off the couch to spar Conor for 12 rounds, and was maybe/possibly weakly knocked down once after being exhausted and then semi-shoved/punched. The whole sparring thing is laughable when really dissected and people look at the facts.Comment
