I don't think boxers would be crapping on himself s much if he was just dipping his toes in the water against a guy like Paulie, but he's fighting one the grwtaets boxers of our lifetime, and getting paid a ridiculous amount for it, while not even having 1 fight, so 9bvisoily you could see why there would be some animosity, and him bastardizing the sport.
If anything, Floyd should be getting just as much heat, but at the end of the day, you can't blame either. Floyd's getting paid damn near 300 mil in a single fight, and Conor's getting his biggest payday he could possibly ever get.
It is what it is.

This is how know your opinion and bias mentality are irrelevant in this forum.

Can you blame them for being close-minded and skeptical of athletes crossing over into boxing, and without one pro fight to their name get the big money fight? This is some WWE shyt we are being sold as a legit, sanctioned fight. Damn right real fans are going to be close-minded towards him. Contributing to the classless circus environment that typically surrounds MMA and WWE fights, boxing doesn't need it.

Boxing attracts different people to MMA. Typical MMA/UFC fighters have a fickle fanbase, who move from one guy to the next (which could also be due to relatively short careers for some).
Boxers can have relatively long career's, which carries status. Career boxers tend to attract people who look up to them as father figures, which can be evident in some of the comments posted about some fighters on these boards.
Celebrating another persons achievements is nothing new, but to dislike a person you have never met because of another person you have never met.......Lol, that doesn't happen in many sports.
