Just keep the focus on Crawford! It doesn't get any bigger for Indongo than the CornHusky!

Sucks for Lipinets, but the reality is Crawford is likely moving up to 147 to get in the mix with Horn & Pacquiao & if Indongo wins vs a guy like Crawford he's likely to be getting much better offers then a Lipinets mandatory so ultimately this is about money & Lipinets would likely do as either of these two in the same position as them.

Well Lipinets is very likely to get a vacant title shot whatever happens doe so I guess thats a good if nothing else.

I expect Crawford to win in impressive fashion Saturday. Indongo had a good run he'll be champion again once Crawford moves to 147. Lipinets fight might happen eventually just don't believe it'll be anytime soon.

Nothing about this sucks for Lipinets.

He's 12 fights and 3 years into his pro career, and he's getting paid step aside money by world champions in order for them to fight other world champions; all while not losing his own mandatory position.

Lipinets seems to be doing fine in this.

Is he getting paid? How much?

But idk I think he's one of these types of guys who wants to fight Crawford or Indongo not fight for a vacant title & its a solid bet that'll be the situation he'll be in by the time his title shot marker gets called in. I think Crawford is gone from 140 if he wins. And I think its extremely possible Indongo would get a nice money offer for a rematch with Crawford if he wins leaving Lipinets fighting some nobody for what people will deem a paper title.

                It's in the article.

He was paid step aside money for Indongo to fight Burns, and is now getting paid step-aside money for Indongo to fight Crawford.

Also, he's the IBF mandatory, so he's currently the mandatory to Indongo not Crawford.

I reiterate: Here's a guy with 12 fights and 3 years in the pro game, being paid step-aside money for two unification fights.

You make it sound like there should be pitty due that guy; when the result of him cashing those checks is that boxing fans get back-to-back title unification fights, resulting in a single beltholder post-this weekend.

Sympathies are due elsewhere than here.

Is it bad that every time I see a headline about Lipinets, I immediately think of Oscar De La Hoya?

If Crawford wins he'll be the guy Lipinets would be fighting doe...unless I'm missing something here.

Idk about crying for him & I don't think he gives a sh^t how many fights he has or doesn't have. I just think its almost a lock he'll not be fighting either of these guys. He'll be a nice bank account number having paper champ in 6ish months doe so theres that. And I think those would be some fun fights whoever wins or loses this weekend.
