    PAID!!!

Despite reports to the contrary on social media from Floyd Mayweather, the Nevada State Athletic Commission will not allow his request to have the glove size changed in his pay-per-view boxing match against UFC champion Conor McGregor.

But NSCA executive director Bob Bennett said Tuesday that the commission would not bend to Mayweather's request, regardless of whether both fighters agree, because it goes against their own rules.

"These regulations are in place for the health and safety of the athletes, which is of the utmost importance to the commission," Bennett told ESPN. "Our regulations already outline the appropriate glove size according to contracted weight of a fight."

Had bad is the world going to come down on the NSAC if Conor gets really f#cked up in this fight? 49-0 guy vs a guy making his pro debut. 8oz gloves over the usual 10oz gloves. This is gonna look BADDDDDDD for the NSAC if something bad happens to Conor.

No one is right 100% of the time. And Mannix is like Fat Dan Jr with everything involving this fight & has been negative & cynical about everything revolving around it.

Mannix is definitely not a standard run of the mill hack boxing journalist in my eyes. Most cats got the same 7 or 8 questions they ask everybody.

Not earth shattering news that NSAC can be bought. You can bet a nice fat pile of cashish helped 'grease the wheels' in their decision.

But hey, at least this will make the fight more interesting. I'd luv it if it were all UFC rules, just to watch Floydie whimper and run for his life. But at least they're throwing the UFC guy a tiny pile of scraps.

Anything can happen in boxing and if something fatal happens in this fight then it's another big black eye for the sport. Anyway, if he dies, he dies ...
So much for "the health and safety of the athletes" ...
