I've been going back and forth but I've settled on Golovkin outboxing Canelo. Whether he will actually get the nod in Vegas is another story. I think Canelo will have success early. He's going to hit Golovkin more than anyone else before. However, around the 6th or 7th round Golovkin will take over and starting damaging Canelo. The crowd will get quiet for long periods but erupt every time Canelo do something. At the end of the fight it will be up to the judges to award Golovkin the proper victory or give a gift decision to Canelo. Of course the aftermath will be epic. Canelo fans will swear up and down Canelo destroyed Golovkin and his fans will inexpicably blame Ward for low blows.

Who ever is able to walk forward and control the ring will win, neither guy has proven to be effective walking backwards. Slight edge to GGG, he seems to be able to cut off the ring pretty well.

canelo to look great early on, but the size and power will tell. i think canelos power is seriously overestimated and his shots wont stop GGG in his tracks,i think people will be surprised when ggg just walks through a lot of his shots. Im thinking similar to brook v GGG but canelo will have more prolonged success, although ultimately will get stopped with his corner pulling him out. People have forgot about all the pre jacobs performances golovkin put in, they are way too fixated on a fight which ultimately he still won clearly.

                I've got GGG.

I think Canelo is an excellent boxer but i don't think the best sides of his game are equipped to deal with what Golovkin brings. I don't think he has the legs for it. His upper body movement is excellent but to use that, you still have to be right in front of Golovkin and i don't think he can do that for 12 rounds without being caught or shipping punishment in parts and it'll take it's toll. As good as his defence can be, it's not on the level of someone like a Mayweather. Golovkin will find openings and be able to penetrate Canelo's defence and Canelo will have nowhere to go from there because he lacks the ability to move really well.

If Canelo has a chance, i think he needs to get Golovkin's respect in the first couple of rounds, mostly with power. If Golovkin doesn't respect your power, he will start to turn the screw. Jacobs had the movement AND power to keep Golovkin from just trying to run through him. Canelo certainly doesn't have the movement and i'm not even sure he has the power.

I have Golovkin by stoppage around the 9th round.

Spot on. I think Golovkin will time Canelo and trade with him; I see Canelo trying to set up an uppercut or left hook and G countering with a straight right that floors him. If Canelo has enough power to get G's respect and make him tentative, the fight becomes a lot more interesting.

Golovkin will start by trying to establish his jab. If Canelo can't counter it, Golovkin will make it the base of his offense to set up everything else. If Canelo counters the jab well, then GGG will try to absorb some punishment to dish out his own. If the fight turns into a war, Golovkin by KO or TKO by round 11 via body shot. If it becomes a boxing match, UD or MD for Canelo.

                      My hope:
Golovkin demonstrates he is the better boxer in rounds 1 & 2. Vicious jabs and right hands. Puts down Canelo with a body shot in round 3. Canelo manages to get up and then is dropped with a powerful left hook and is counted out for KO.

                      Best story:
Bell rings and Golovkin walks up and hits Canelo with a powerful right hand 5 second in. Canelo goes down and is counted out, wakes up next day in a bathtub in Mexico with his kidney missing.

                      My expectation:
Golovkin proves to be the better boxer, utilizes his jab effectively. Gets hit a few times but his blows are much more damaging. Works the body well and in round 10 as he is battering Canelo around the ring Canelo's corner stops the fight. 10th round TKO. Canelo's face is a swollen mess.
