Prime Lewis would beat prime Tyson 9/10 times. Tyson was a 3 round fighter. Lewis would keep him on the end of the jab and tie him up and then break him down after 3.

I think Lewis probably beats Tyson most of the time. Lewis was actually older than Tyson. Lewis was smarter than Tyson and he had more heart and better stamina. He knew how to take advantage of his reach edge with a good jab and straight right hand. If Lewis got careless he could get KOed by Tyson but I doubt he would get careless. I don't think Lewis was much better than Tyson prime against prime. I think he was just enough better that I would pick him to win. It's possible Tyson could beat Lewis when both were in their early 20s as Tyson peaked earlier than Lewis and was really smashing everybody in his late teens and early 20s.

Lewis in all likelyhood doesnt see rnd 9 if a K.O happens . Watching how no one got close to defeating Tyson and how he looked in the actual 2002 fight its easy to see how a MUCH better 80's Tyson would fare since he won the 1st rnd and stayed in for 8 with little movement or defensive skills .

Tyson would either win Tucker style or Holmes style and go for the fast K.O . The Frank Bruno fights are the closest thing wre have to this match to use even though Tyson was without Rooney .

Tyson 5th rnd K.O , i see him rattling Lewis from the start and getting him before mid rnds in a very dangerous fight for both .

              Lewis UD.

Styles make fights & Lewis is huge compared to Tyson. Long reach, great jab & right hand

Lewis can win on jabs alone controllin the distance... He can easily beat short punchers most of the time...

                  See: Tua, Tyson.

I favor Tyson. If Lewis can get KO'd by Rahman and McCall, prime Tyson would have stretched him out in the middle rounds.
