Abel Sanchez recently said in an interview that he has no interest in fighting Charlo (who is the WBC mandatory btw) because he hasn't proven himself.
I don't understand how we get sidetracked in these topics and don't address the title of the topic itself and what it was about to begin with.
He captured the IBF title at 154 2 years ago, made 3 defenses 2 of them were against Trout and Julian Williams (good quality fighters) decided to move up to 160 and got himself a title eliminator, won it, now he's the mandatory. Can someone explain to me how Charlo has to "prove" himself before he gets "deserves" a shot at a title he fought in an eliminator to have to chance to capture?

didnt we acussed ggg of cherrypicking for making those fights?Brook didnt even prove himself at 147 and got an immediate shot at GGG..WTF did Willie Monroe prove??? or Wade?? oh wait yall are going to say Wade was mandatory right?? well so is Charlo!!!! Why all the roadblocks for Charlo??? Rosado came straight to 160 and got a shot(where did he prove himself)???
Ya'll are full of **** and refuse to just admit ya'll want no parts of Charlo as ya'll feel he is a threat
are we changing our tune now?
