This is what I see happening. If Canelo does not bring the fight to Gennady early and gain his respect with hard shots to the head and body, G will walk him down, encourage Canelo to throw, smile when he lands, and beat him into submission early in the fight until his corner or the ref stops it.

If they don't stop it early because of the magnitude of the fight, Canelo may taste the canvas 3-5 times before the fight is over. The first KD will set the tone for the fight, and Canelo will have to choose between surviving (1 pro opponent has lasted 12 rounds with G) and trying to KO GGG (~400 fighters have been unable to KD G, let alone KO him).

Myself, from what I've seen, studied and analyzed from the two. I don't see Canelo dropping Triple G. Unless he is able to sustain a relentless body attack, but I don't see that happening because Canelo would have to worry about the incoming and counters after delivering those shots. I don't think he will stand in front of Triple G long enough to allow that to happen.

They both may get hurt. But I don't see G getting dropped, I can see Canelo getting dropped.

If Canelo beats Triple G and drops him and proves me wrong, absolutely I will give him his props and respect. That would be very impressive if he did that.

But we'll see what happens. It will be a really good fight, I know that. Not like that circus WWE event coming up.
One, Abel has never been one to shy away from interviews, and Two, as a trainer, I would believe his primary goal is to properly prepare his fighter for battle...everything else is secondary, so the mixed signals being sent in different interviews is nothing I would look too much into, plus he's not the one getting into the ring...if you notice, GGG has given very little interviews, but Canelo is doing all the talking, from "guaranteeing a KO" and "doing a real number on GGG" to "uhh, well I hope"....Mr. Mamadas sure did change his tune in a matter of weeks...

But I mostly agree with all your other points as far as how the fight may or may not go...thing is, if Canelo tries a "stick and move" something I've yet to see him do, he may gas more than we're used to seeing him gas. The redhead usually likes to plant his feet (stand in front of) before unloading and well, you yourself have already stated what possible counters he may receive for his troubles, because GGG cuts the ring well and goes after his opponents after he assesses them .....by round 4, we should be able to have a pretty good idea as to how the rest of the fight may go....

I, like you, want it to be a good fight regardless of who wins (and COMPETENT JUDGING, PLEASE GOD!)...but if Canelo gets dropped (which like you, I believe is more possible than vice versa) that could spell disaster, because unless you employ a stick and move strategy after a KD (again, gassing) plus outweigh him by a good margin, GGG will likely bring on the finish....and it would only be a matter of time....I read another poster on one of the threads "well, duuuh, GGG may get hit with something he don't see coming doe"...like the same can't happen to Canelo?

          B!tches Please....

Triple G by KO. BUT........... I am Terrified that GGG gets cracked with a Right Uppercut or a left Hook to the Liver.

That's what I'm saying...canelo has to throw combos in middle of ring. If he does his "lure opponent in by laying on the ropes" thing then he's getting iced plain and simple.

If it's a chess match or not, Canelo is in trouble. He's too short or have the reach to keep GGG at bay.

Someone mentioned that Canelo uses the first couple of rounds to assess his opponent. That would be a big mistake in this fight. He might end up on the canvas.
