He does have a hard punch though. And it is really good that he has been training with Roach, Cotto and Sports Science Lab strength and conditioning coach Gavin McMillan.

He's one of the more watched prospects out of PR mainly for his ties to Cotto.

But the kid is a tall big mofo for the 130 pound division and he's got a big punch. If he stays the course with Roach and crew who knows. He does have potential.

He's among the PR prospects like Manny Rodriguez, Christopher "Pitufo" Diaz, Subriel "Browny" Matias, Danielito "El Zorro" Zorrilla, Joseph "Blessed Hands" Adorno, Miguel Cruz, etc...

Verdejo is looking shakey and has a lot to prove.

I haven't seen him fight but there is a lot of hype around this kid especially since Cotto took him under his wing. Big opportunity on ESPN. And the guy he's fighting Morales is decent. Looking forward to seeing on friday what all the hype is about.
