Dude, not too many exciting fights in the HW division, maybe back in Ali time. If we only had the HW division, I will probably stop watching boxing for good.

Castillo shouldnt have signed the fight had he known he couldnt make weight.
I lost alot of respect for castillo tonight, e****ially after all the bull**** about him being right on track.
      What a liar.
im not making any excusses he couldnt make weight. im disapointed in him and i do lose respect. but im not going to call him a cheater. he tryed to do something he couldnt. people were watching him during his camp so you know he was trying, just didnt have what it takes. not because he is a cheater or scared

        true true...

but reading **** like Castillo "doesnt make weight".......just seems like a ****ing joke...

Its part of being a professional boxer...making weight because of the contarct you signed.

When fighters at lower weights pull **** like that, Id rather watch a boring HW fight, then give my respect to someone like Castillo with a PPV purchase.

Looking back at their two previous meetings reminds me of the latin phrase: In pari delicto. Both parties had faults. With the latest development, Castillo, sadly, adds one more to his tally-- regardless of whether he intended to cheat or not. If he failed to make weight out of neglect, he's accountable. If he tried to make weight but was prevented by the current state of his physique, the accountability remains.

Damn! It would have been one good fight to watch!

agree, i think arguing about this is pointless

              castillo is a pro

he signed a contract for 135

he can no longer safely make this weight limit

he needs to move up to jr welter or even welter

              coralles made his decision

              its over

              move on

                What bull****.
What did you think he was going to say?

"I'm a few lbs overweight and I don't see myself being able to make it. But I'll weigh in anyway just for aesthetic's sake."

I kind of half saw this coming. Castillo is a HUGE 135 lber and he's as strong as an ox. He looks like a junior middleweight for most of his bouts and it didn't suprise me that he wasn't able to make weight. I do think it's kind of a blackmark on boxing though. He signed the fight and he had the weight to make, he should of busted his ass got in training camp earlier and made the damn weight.

I honestly don't see it as a black mark on boxing as much as it is a black mark on Castillo.

The thing is, like him or not, Castillo is an exciting fighter to watch, so in the long run it's not going to hurt him.
