  • Comments Thread For: Trainer: Mikey Garcia Too Strong, Beats Mayweather at This Time!

Robert Garcia, older brother and trainer of three division champion Mikey Garcia (37-0, 30 KOs), is confident that his younger sibling would be too strong and defeat Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26 KOs) at this stage of the game. Mikey was in action last month in Brooklyn, when he moved up to the junior welterweight division to dominate Adrien Broner - who happens to be Mayweather's close friend.

I like Mikey, but he's too slow and over thinks

    Floyd will pick him apart.

Okay, I like the Garcia family, but this **** is way outta line

He's clearly drinking too much. Floyd would destroy Mikey

boxingscene hates mayweather so much they use the term "trainer" as if robert is not mikeys older brother... these people have no shame..... any thing to bash mayweather gets airtime on this site no matter how ridiculous....

Too strong? Garcia is slow af. Mayweather would eat him alive.

Like I said in another thread, they are just riding the wave, keep their names out there. They have no intentions of actually fighting guys like Danny Garcia, Thurman or even Crawford.

I'm a big-time Floyd fan, but I don't think he could beat Mikey at age 40, especially since he's hasn't had a fight in 2 years! I think that if Floyd thought that he was still at an elite level, he would still be an active fighter.

I think Floyd could beat Mikey even now.

I like Mikey but he showed nothing in the Broner fight or any other his other fights that Floyd can't deal with.
