Well, there you have it. This is the reason I dislike Castillo. Once again, he has failed to make weight. Corrales trains his ass of and drains himself for a big fight, and what does Castillo do? He doesn't care. Why? Because he knows he will get his ass handed t o him at 135. He doesn't want another TKO to blemish his fake victory over Corrales the second time. Jose Luis Castillo, all of my respect for you has been lost. I hope you don't recieve anymore money or fights in the future. Loser.
Castillo fails at weight, and as a professional

But how do you know Castillo didn't train his ass off just as hard, drain himself and fail? I mean, everyone has their limit, and obviously getting older, his is no longer 135. -

No. Do you think Gatti could make 135, even if he trained his ass off? That's where he started, I think.Comment

Also remember...Corrales is 5'11 and trains his ass off, it would be harder for Corrales to make weight than Castillo, who is almost 5'8, but Corrales makes weight and no excuses, castillo cheats all the time and is a dirty fighter, if he could'nt make weight by sign the fight in this weight class? he could have said lets fight at light welter...he is the one who agreed to fight in this weight classComment

1) Just because someone is taller, doesn't mean they have mreo bone or muscle mass. Therefore, to say it is harder for Corrales to weigh in just because he is taller is a pretty thoughtless statement.
2) We didn't need another thread on this topic. One is already made.Comment

Being 5'11" does not automatically make you weigh more than a guy that's shorter than you. Corrales has a small frame, whereas Castillo is far more evenly proportioned. I can't guess who's it's harder for, but I know Corrales is tall and lanky and not a full 5'11".
I honestly don't give a **** about Castillo. I guess maybe I am defending him, but I couldn't care less about this fight, whether it happens or who wins. I just don't think because he failed to make weight that he didn't try or that he was cheating. The guy wants the money, so he tries to make the weight, but it's just not in the cards anymore. This is obviously bad press and horrible for boxing, because there are going to be a lot of angry fans. To me, this is an issue of how boxing monitors weight and how they allow fighters to drain themselves to make weight. This is a problem with boxing in general, and the industry needs to fix it.Comment
