Even if Schafer thinks Joyce will be ready in 6 fights there's no chance he thinks he'll get it anyway... Joyce is going to have to make some noise and rise up the rankings pretty quickly if he's going to be considered, an that's not possible in 5 fights!

Why wouldn't it be possible? I mean agreed it's highly unlikely, but it's possible. Turn pro vs some top 3 or 4 guy regionally. Fight a top 15 abc guy to get in the rankings. Fight a couple top ten guys. Then parlay that into a title eliminator. Boom title shot. Again unlikely but doable.

Yeah Aloyan is doing that exact thing in the super flyweight division at the moment. He's already got his WBC Silver strap and top 15 ranking

Joyce will never be World level. Never. His (lack of) speed and (lack of) punch output make Wilder look like Joe Calzaghe. Joshua would land so flush, so often I imagine Joyce would have brain damage by the end of the third.

For reals, I honestly can't see the reasoning for the hype behind this guy. He's not very good.
