    Nathan Cleverly, who is the current World Boxing Association (WBA) "regular" light heavyweight champion, received special permission from the WBA's Championships Committee to stake his title against Badou Jack, on Saturday August 26th in Las Vegas. The fight will be part of the Showtime Pay-Per-View undercard to the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor showdown from the T-Mobile Arena.

    No surprise. Haymon owns the NSAC, and he owns Showtime, so why wouldn't he own the WBA (and WBC apparently) too?

      Haymon has nothing to do with any of the three fighters. Jack is not with Haymon, neither is Cleverly and Bivol is managed by Vadmin Kornilov and promoted by Ryabinsky

            What about all these natural disasters that occur from time to time? Haymon is behind those too IMO.

                This is the same move WBC pulled with Conelo they give a fighter no chance to relax after a fight and force them to start .. negotiating a fight within a certain amount of days

                I won't be surprised if jack vacate after and fights Adonis after

                  It's be cause Bivol accepted the step aside for Jack to fight Cleverly. I doubt Badou would vacate.

                    He's supposed to be fighting them right now, but stepped aside so they can make this fight.

                    They knew this, they took forever to announce the U/C because Bivol was the reason why they had to wait to announce it as a title fight.
                    they could always not fight for the title and not worry about it
