Comments Thread For: McGregor: I'll Be 170-Plus in There, Mayweather Won't Last!

Conor McGregor admits he is impressed by Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s speed, reflexes and experience. But the boxing legend just isn't a big enough man to withstand his power, according to McGregor. The UFC superstar assured a group of reporters Friday night that size definitely will matter when the Irish southpaw opposes the heavily favored Mayweather on August 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Love his confidence, but he that confidence will turn to frustration by round 3.

170+ on fight night? The last one who tried that if i remember correctly was ....Canelo? And how did that fight go?

Canelo was superior in all aspects then McNugget and still is.

      RIP this clown.

I wouldn't have thought Cotto, Canelo or De La Hoya were that far off 170 either. Y'know, genuine top level fighters and will be HOF fighters.

If he's planning to rehydrate that much, it will do more harm than good.

I'm actually surprised there wasn't a rehydration clause for this circus

Canelo was 165 on fight night vs. Floyd.

That catchweight of 152 certainly hurt him.

He thinks this is an MMA fight where his power will overwhelm floyd but the majority of the time skills win fights look at ward kovalev everyone thought ward was gonna die but he neutralized him by midway of the first fight and he was never in trouble again

Ask yourself how long will it take floyd against a sloppy novice with bad cardio the way mcgregor talks i cant wait to see floyd gatti him
