Well, maybe by replicating stare down and entrance during training, it helps lowering the tension during fight night, because you trained to get used to the whole situation and the brain feels a little more at home and less in a strange and frightening situation.

If Paulie did all this for free, why not just say piss off I ain't doing that? He did it all then came back a second time. We're obviously being taken for a ride here. Prefight hype is ok, but this feels abit lame. Everyone involved with this event is an ego maniac, and a double knockout, with one guy falling through the ropes landing on Paulie knocking him out is the only happy ending I'd go for.

He's actually trying to give himself a little pro record behind closed doors so he doesnt go in there a total novice. Which kind of makes sense in the way Leonard did the same thing before Hagler. But since he's sparring partners aren't world class fighters it's still not going to do much to stop him looking ******, but maybe not the total idiot he'd have looked with no experience at all.
