    ...under boxing rules.

Which means future fights between boxer and MMA fighter will be under MMA rules, as it used to.
Floyd, the best ever, will always get the advantage, I know.
Question is is there really very little interest in these types of fights under boxing rules? Why is that?

why would they be under MMA rules? MMA fighters have boxing experience where boxers will not have judo, karate, wrestling or kickboxing skills.

It would seem that any further fights like this would be under boxing rules since MMA fighters have boxing experience and can adapt easier and in a quicker time frame then a boxer could earn a black belt in a martial art.

James Toney, Ricardo Mayorga, Ray Mercer, Art Jimmerson, Mia St. John, Matt Skelton, Muhammad Ali, Holly Holm, etc.
All fought under MMA rules. Some were former boxers and transitioned to MMA.

        Muhammad Ali???????????????

Those weren't big money fights. Those were individuals trying to resuscitate their careers.

Maybe boxers do go to MMA. I just don't see it because there is far more money in boxing. Why would a Canelo go to UFC for example and take such a huge paycut??
