What does McGregor need to accomplish against Floyd to earn your respect?

For the likes of Max Kellerman, the bar is set so low that they will surely have their expectations exceeded if Conor lands a single blow, but I think to most of us, more is required.

So, what will it take for him to you to say 'I was wrong, it was no circus, McGregor is to be respected'

Does he need to land 20 shots?
Does he need to go the distance?
Does he need to win rounds?

What is the benchmark he needs to hit to have you consider any future bouts featuring him not a joke?

Anyone willing to lace up the gloves and step into a boxing ring should automatically have your respect. Even if you know they're a tomato can and are going to get whooped. That's my opinion.

      Respect for what?

All he's done is ride on Floyd's coattails to the biggest payday of his career by far.

And instead of being grateful for this opportunity and exposure all he's done is disparage boxing all the way through.

I don't think anything he does here will earn my respect.

Maybe after Floyd beats his ass and he apologizes to all boxing fans then I'll consider it

be in shape to keep on throwing is his best defence and Malagnaggi was perfect target practice. Unfortunately, someone messed that up.

This fight is so insane that I honestly think making it in the ring already gets Conor a moral victory & my respect. So I guess from that point all he can do is f#ck it up somehow & that would probably be via giving up before he takes a lot of damage or he just fouls Floyd a lot or something along those sorta lines. Regardless of how nutty the betting line is Conor isn't supposed to win this fight so him just showing up & not embarrassing himself is a W.

I already respect him but this is a money grab. Nothing more. His fans will be disappointed in him. I see him fighting to survive after the first couple rounds. Might quit or do something to get dq'ed. He won't go out on his shield IMO.

Simply by entering a sport for the first time and building up to world class skills in sparring alone the man has earned my respect.

I wanna see him act humble and give boxing some respect after the fight. Not saying this was only half a fight and challenging Floyd to come to the ufc and still acting like an idiot.

Honestly, make it past the 4th round while actually throwing and landing some punches. Wouldn't be too bad for a guy with zero pro fights.
