Some people are crazy. No one is saying Connor is the next a SRR but he is a world class fighter. Floyd has never seen his style, he's never felt his power so there are so many unknowns. We know Connor has a world class chin and Floyd doesn't punch hard at welter. Connor is the size of a middleweight with lightweight speed. He has some serious advantages that many of floyds opponents never had.

Of course Floyd has seen his style before. Floyd has never felt his power? Dude floyd has fought heavy hitters like Cotto, Maidana & Canelo. While I am not a Floyd fan by far, I do have to praise him how he was able to neutralize Canelo's power to the point that it was a non issue. Conor does not even come close to those guys skill.
It's gonna come down to certain factors
1- Yes, Floyd is older, but he can still whip a former amatuer boxer, who has not fought in a boxing match in years. And now he is going to have his first pro boxing match? I ain't buying it, I have a better chance of seeing santa claus in the middle of August in Coney Island.

2- No matter what boxing gloves are use it won't matter, Floyd will still have the upperhand. Boxers are punch tolerant. And that my friend, Conor is not! Conor may be able to take punches from UFC & MMA fighters, but to take punches from a boxer, that's a different animal there. Boxers punch, that is there game.

3-The only thing that Conor has going for him is youth.

4-Please don't get fooled by the Paulie sparring. For starters he is retired & has not been training for a fight & Conor has. So being a 2 time boxing titleholder does not mean anything especially if you have not been training for a fight. Understand that Conor is still active. Heck if Paulie was fighting Conor in a boxing match I would bet on Paulie without a doubt.

Sparring Gloves & Gloves use in the actual fights are waaay different. Think about Conor is using wash up & past their prime fighters Paulie, Berto,, what does that tells you.
