Yeah sometimes Floyd is put on a pedestal that I just don't get.

But let me say this JLC was a bad motherfkcer at the time. Floyd doesn't get enough credit for fighting him. I'd argue this was the last top notch fighter that in his prime that he fought (2003) excluding Ricky Hatton. And I just wasn't a Hatton believer at all. JCC was in his peak or just about at it (maybe the first Corrales fight was his peak). I give Floyd a lot of credit. I think he probably lost the first fight but he won the second fight clearly. He was the better fighter but JCC gave him everything he wanted.

The 80's welterweights are the cream of the crop - Duran, SRL, Hearns and Benitez all beat Mayweather. Aaron Pryor also beats Floyd at 140.

The 90's welters is 2nd best and Floyd would be 50-50 against Pernell Whitaker, DLH, and Trinidad.

            Hearns, Pryor, Leonard, Duran, Benitez.

Edit: Robinson, Forrest, Whitaker, Prime Oscar

Floyd would probably beat everybody that ever lived from 140 under, but guys like Sweet Pea, Duran, and Benitez would have given him hell. At 147 I just don't think he's big enough to heat the ATGs

I always thought Paul Williams would have beaten him. It's a shame we can't have time machines and change Floyd to a pure middleweight. I would have loved to have seen Carlos Monzon take his head off.

I have 2 fighters and both or them were supreme body punchers.

                  Duran at 35
                  Cotto at 40

But, I think Floyd goes undefeated in any era. Those have a chance at winning

I'll bet lomachenko vs floyd at 130 back in the day would have been pretty even
