Should be good even though he sounds like he has a years worth of phlegm in his throat when he talks these days.

Fortunately, nobody will hear him commentate because he's doing a Samuel Vargas fight on an insignificant promoter's show. Tyson Fury will do a poor job as a commentator, but he will probably be better than the inept non-boxing people who have commentated for Lee Baxter Promotions in the past.
Is there another promotion in Ontario that is putting in the effort of LBP? I think Lee is on the right path, looking to bring some competitive fights here. Why knock the efforts...Sammy is no ducker [taking on DSG and Spence]in the last couple years is there anyone else who has stepped in the ring with both of those guys?... instead just look at the main event for the next show at Hershey Center! If you want to talk about 'insignificant' .

There is no better promotion in Ontario, and that's the worst part! Unfortunately, We don't have the boxing culture here and there is almost zero public interest. I respect Vargas, but he IS fairly insignificant. He can put some wins together if they match him carefully, but his level was obvious when he fought to a draw against Tebor Brosch early in his career. That was my first impression of him, and he's improved and avenged the draw since, but he is barely a c-level fighter. Fury could potentially be doing commentary for bigger cards across the pond. I'm curious why he's doing commentary here instead.

What people don't know is Fury is a historian and he knows his boxing very well. The problem is he has no filter.. God knows what he will say.. Most likely some profanity where he'll end up upsetting a group of people.

I don't know it's a funny market, been to Hershey many times and seen crowds over 4 000 to see locals taking on unknown latinos...meanwhile I read about shows in the US with world rated fighters that are being televised with barely the same amount in the crowd...Ha I was at that 'draw' vs. TB a few years back, I think Sammy has improved a lot since then. The 19th is a good fight for him...I guess Fury has to learn the ropes on these smaller shows? Toronto is a bandwagon town look at the crowd to see those 2 jokers swear at each other, meanwhile I bet nobody there could identify a picture of errol spence or keith Thurman.

My assessment of Vargas was brutally pessimistic, but I DO respect him and wish him the best. My disdain for Fury sometimes brings out the worst. Fury seems to enjoy Toronto/Ontario, I remember him being at a Casino Rama card for some reason. It might have been to promote his fight against Neven Pajkic, but I thought we'd never have to see him here again.

Yeah I used to go to Rama all the time to see the Molitor cards...these last few years I have ended up driving to Montreal and Turning Stone to see good fights, they have way better action then what is going on around here.
