I think Bradley has a point, that when the hunger is gone then it is time to hang them up. It doesn't matter what the hunger is, whether it is to prove yourself as a fighter, whether it is to make a fortune, whatever.
I think that watching Pac lose to Horn had another effect on him. He saw that Horn was a hell off a fighter. He also saw that Horn was getting zero respect.
He knew that if he had to fight Horn, he would have to put his all into it, and even then it would be hell.
As he said: ‘I don’t know if I wanna go through all that torture, go through all that pain and go through that mess anymore. I don’t have the guts for it anymore, man.'
To accomplish what? To possibly win a guaranteed hard fight, or possibly even lose to a guy that the world is determined to show no respect to.
