They're not stellar, no. The 'eye test' definitely has to be used in ranking these guys.

No question Ward has the best out of the bunch.

2 of those guys were undefeated and one could have easily been. I think his dominance of Postol took some of the shine off of it and the fact that Gamboa was outboxing him for long periods. That said, I think after he beats Indongo, he still has to fight a Spence, Thurman or Garcia to lay claim to number 1. Peace.

I concur.. Ward has defeated most of the then World champions. His resume is rich in quality.

Not really, Indongo was an unknown up until pretty recently. Beating him isn't going to top Ward's back to back wins against Kovalev. He's in the top half of the pound for pound spots IMO but he's not top of the pile yet.

If Crawford beats Garcia, Thurman and Spence, then Crawford is #1.

GGG is old enough. He can not be p4p king anymore. I think even if GGG outclasses and KO Canelo, he will still not be p4p #1. GGG will become p4p king only if he beats Ward, which is impossible.

              In reality,
In Kovalev vs Ward 1, Kovalev won.
In Kovalev vs Ward 2, Ward would be disqualified for illegal punches.

an amazingly badly written article - most of the posters on here could do a better job than that and that is surely saying something - if it was translated from Spanish entonces utiliza un traductor que vale la pena

I disagree, Crawford my man. Being the undisputed 140 champ is on the right path to P4P numero uno, but that accolade lies ahead at 147. Once you take care of Indongo, take some of those elite scalps at 147 and you are the man.

the never ending p#p arguments ... normally I like to say that recent resume is the most important but you have to take into account some of what the eye test tells you. Crawford criticizing Golovkin's resume is a bit rich.

If the 2 best wins on your resume are fighters are Postol and Indongo, fighters who even most hardcore fans had never heard of two years before they fought Crawford then you know your resume is not one of the best.

Ward and Gonzalez have the best current resumes in boxing.

Most likely, just beating two out of the three names should do it IMO. I feel like Crawford would fight Thurman as soon as he can. If he get elevated to mandatory challenger upon entering 147 and fights and beats Thurman, that might just do it too. It really depends on how the boxing scribes vote after such a scenario.
