Comments Thread For: Berto Explains Possible McGregor-Mayweather Win Scenarios

Former world champion Andre Berto has deep roots in boxing and mixed martial arts. Berto, a former two-time welterweight world champion, has a brother and sister who are MMA fighters and his father competed at UFC 10. He is also the last boxer to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. - who retired after defeating Berto in September 2015 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Or...is the fix in to set up an even bigger financial rematch. You just never know at this stage of Floyd's career. A rematch would make him a billion dollar athlete. But if he is still fighting to keep his legacy intact, then I think he outboxes Conor to a smooth yet entertaining unanimous decision. But he will have to be sharp and at his best. Conor is still a combat fighter who is used to having brutal grueling fights. Floyd can't afford to get old in this fight and just simply depend on his defense and potshot all night. If Conor is smart, he will have to throw a lot of punches and make an attempt to outwork Floyd. The crowd will go crazy every time he throws a punch whether it lands clean or not. That could influence the judges. I just hope it's exciting and competitive and I'll be rooting for Floyd. If a ****y mma fighter like Conor beats an all time great like Floyd, boxing could take a serious hit!

Berto is still dazed from all those 'punches' he took from Porters third fist aka his forehead.

Highly improbably but not impossible that McGregor could win. Two men, two fists, it's combat sport. His only chance of a ko or tko of Mayweather is if he catches him on the temple, which is a 'balance' shot. Mayweather's chin is very good and he won't be too badly affected there. But a hard punch on the temple, and one can get ko'd like Roy Jones was against Glen Johnson. So yeah, he has that one or two percent chance, does Conor.

If conor gasses, I can't see anything other than a TKO for Floyd.

My theory is they won't want anyone getting "hurt" in this fight.

I guarantee the ref will be warned to pull conor out if he takes too many shots, won't look good I feel mcgregor has to spend a few days in hospital.

FLoyd should be landing at will and simply dominating him.
