Ibragimov vs Austin now for Klitschko mandatory

"The Quietman" John Ruiz, who was recently rated #1 by the WBA, has been removed by Don King Productions from participation in an IBF eliminator against Sultan Ibragimov to determine a mandatory challenger for heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. A purse bid for that fight was scheduled for Saturday. Ibragimov will now face Ray Austin, also promoted by DKP, who fought for the number two position and is now the leading available contender. Instead of allowing a negotiating period for Austin-Ibragivov, both camps agreed to call for an immediate purse offer. IBF Championship Chairman Lindsey Tucker has scheduled that purse bid for June 16.
Too bad I was hoping Ibragimov would get rid of Ruiz for good..

This tells us two things. Obviously Ruiz is not promoted by king any longer and king basically told Austin "hey fatboy if you don't take this fight against Ibragimov you will find yourself at the end of a grissly fate". Austin wanted no part of Ibragimov but now he has no choice.

I think Ruiz is just looking to fight Valuev. I actually thing Valuevwont be champ after Saturday. Seriously Beck has nothing to lose, why not be able to pull off an upset.

i think valuev will knock Beck out brutally and some people will start giving him some credit for being the wba champ, but what credit can u get when u fight guys like owen beck...

The IBF should really rename itself the IDF. Mark my words, there will be a scheme by Don and the IBF to get Wlad stripped over some non-defense technicalities within the year.
