I doubt Lemieux also. Lemieux can barely make 160 and the most Cotto weighed in ever was 155 against Martinez. I doubt Lemieux will agree to a catch weight and don't think Cotto is going to put himself in a disadvantage fighting Lemieux at 160.

Hopefully it's a reasonable fighter like Maythysse or Khan at 150 or something or Brook at 154.
Well if nothing else I'm curious who Cotto will fight in his last fight at this point so he's got that going for him, but I hold no excitement for his next fight.

I'd like to see him take Khan's head off for Christmas.

Yeah, I have a feeling finding his next opponent for a PPV fight will be difficult. Cotto may need to take a risk against a dangerous opponent in his last fight.

If Kamegai was his last fight I'm good with that. He's done all he can do in his career already. If they are not able to find a suitable opponent next, I would just retire if I was Cotto.

Between all of the retirements, Marquez, Bradley........and Horn-Pac rematch, May-Mac, Canelo fighting Golovkin in the middle of September, Lemieux being too big perhaps, the list of opponents dwindles.
So you start to think maybe this dude should just retire.

I would say brook at 154, the other top 154 pounders are way too big cotto at this stage, so while brook is a very tough fight for him its definitely winnable and he probably has a bigger profile than the others at 154 imo.

What an absolute legend...I must say tho. HOF for sure.

True, which is why if Kamegai is his last fight, I'm good.
