I think we can all agree McGregor will not be Floyd's last fight...

I think if it was a guy in boxing he could break records with, he would've came back and fought a Boxer but Boxing is not building up new stars like the UFC. Maybe if AJ was a Welterweight that would be a Huge Fight! Casuals Sports fans just don't care much about these other Boxers

When people talk Boxing, Mayweather is still the first name that comes up and that is a PROBLEM for the sport!

I think so too. Floyd won't change any time soon. It's not only taxes, it's his lifestyle, he wants everyone to know he has money and wants to live up to his "Money" alias so badly and what better way to show this? Waste a lot of money (literally wastes it). Here is the problem, a pro boxer's money is limited. e.g. He's not like Will Smith who gets handsomely paid for a movie and then gets royalties. He can make $10-$20 million a movie but keeps making more and more money from his movies and not to mention endorsement deals. This is the way Floyd makes money and without fighting, the money stops coming in no matter what anyone says about his investments. To live like "Money", Floyd has to fight, plain and simple.

        Hmm...that's interesting.
Will Smith getting royalties from his movies.
Isn't this the same with Floyd everytime his fights are replayed?
You have to wonder how much exactly these people get on royalties.
People in the music industry most likely make more.

I think this is his last fight. I was one of the few Floyd fans that felt Berto wasn't. This time I think it's it.

I don't think he will fight again. But if he beats Connor it might be a good idea to fight again as he would be in shape.

Of course, he won't be back soon after this Gregor fight,
and he'll surely be back to his old ways, enjoy his loot.
But therein lies the problem. Takes at least 2 years before he runs out of cash.
Would you rather see him come back next year or 2-3 years later?

I highly doubt a boxer gets anything close to what an actor makes off royalties from movies, blu rays, DVD's, endorsements.

Hmm...Makes me wonder about artists in the music industry.
Do Neil Diamond gets royalties when they sing his Sweet Caroline
                      which British promoters love playing?
