It's sad that so many people were able to be swayed by a ranting, old ******.
It is what it is.
Everyone who watched a better broadcast (i.e. anything other than espn) has a more balanced view.
That Box Nation telecast was awful and they were only cheering for the underdog and hate to say it, they had an unconscious bias for the underdog white dude.

METH is a banned PED AND Manny admitted he used it early on in his professional career on his way to becoming champion.
Shabs won't make you big Dosumpthin... What it does is give you a quick rush then make you lose your appetite. No way you'd be gaining weight with this. With the right mixture, it might help but cmon... you think these 15 y/o kids from the shanties know how to do that?
Its simple. Manny did not have access to good nutrition in the Philippines, but he had the talent, that's why he took only 2 weight classes. Everything changed when he moved to the states. With good nutrition, the guy didn't have a problem reaching his potential weight. And while he wass doing this, he was whacking everyone blocking him.

He never knocked out a true welterweight (Hatton wasn't)... it was all accumulative punishment.. His speed, workrate, awkwardness and stamina was a problem even for bigger fighters.
