    Lineal HW champion.

With Fury and Wlad gone, who is the "man" at HW? I think Joshua has the best case for it.

It's vacant now. I'd say #1 is Anthony Joshua and #2 is Deontay Wilder. Nobody else is really close to those two. That fight could crown the new Lineal champion. Until that happens we just have paper champions.

I think Joshua is clearly number 1 in front of all other heavyweights but he has to beat Wilder to make it clear to everyone than he is the lineal champion. If a fight between Wilder and AJ never happens then AJ is my champion because of his better record and he just looks like the better fighter to me.

If Wilder isn't the clear no.2, how will it be clear to everyone ? Beating Wilder would make Joshua the clear no.1, but not the (universally recognised) lineal champion

Wilder beating Ortiz, Joshua beating Pulev would definitely make Joshua/Wilder the legitimate HW championship fight

I too was wondering about this. Let's make it easy. All these title holders, DW, AJ, JP, Fight each other than theirs no doubt who the man is. Throw Ortiz into the mix somewhere, so all these "0" s can go.

How are Ortiz or Pulev not close to Wilder?
