I don't see how going up a few divisions at the lower weights forced someone to completely abandon their boxing skills and start going to war.

I always felt his dad's influence was part of it. His dad was always hell bent on people fighting toe to toe.
his dad trained him, his dad made that boxer you praise.

The weight slowed him down a tad to the point where he felt he wasn't effective from the outside so he removed that element of danger and got in close. only 1 person have exploited that and it was omar figueroa to a shop worn guerrero. Everyone else beat him by their shere size and power outside of mayweather.

You think? I'm not so sure. you might be right but it was a total extreme change in style, almost opposite. I know weight can affect people in different ways but it's not like he was totally blown up or that slow as a fighter at 147.

Put it this way, if you are right, i don't think i've seen a fighter completely become almost the opposite kind of fighter in such a short space of time.

I know his dad trained him to be a boxer, i'm just saying his dad also seemed to be a big influence on him adopting more of a brawler style and i'm not sure it was always for the best.

the weight jump coupled with crossfit robert started I think messed him up boxing wise, made him cut and solid but robbed him of his ability to stay light on his feet to box. Him and his father knew this and decided to in fight instead. They tried to box at 147 but couldnt keep it up cause I dont think robert took the power well so taking smother shots on the inside was better.

                Manny Pacquiao.

After that JMM knock out he changed. He started to box.
