The biggest sports network in America. Is there any reason why Loma and Crawford won't become superstars?
Will ESPN Turn Loma and Crawford into Superstars?

Crawford should become more of a star.
Not sure about Lomachenko...his notoriety should increase, not sure he'll reach "superstar" level.
But.....just looking at the ESPN lineup...they have Crawford-Lundy and Lomachenko-Martinez on ESPN2 tonight prior to the Herrera-Soto Karass fight on ESPN.
There's also a bunch of Lomachenko replays On Demand.
I assume there'll be more Crawford fights the closer that fight gets.
It shouldn't definitely get them some more exposure on ESPN networks than HBO.Last edited by Mitchell Kane; 08-04-2017, 01:47 PM. -
Don't see Loma ever being a superstar. He's already 30 add in his a small guy without sick ko power and from the Ukraine. UnlikelyComment

lack of personality on crawfords behalf and hes quite boring in the ring. cant see loma being a superstar cause of the division he fights in. need to be at welter or above really to be a star.Comment

NO! While it will certainly help with exposure I don't see either becoming Superstars unfortunately but they will do very well and make a lot of money regardless!
Other than AJ, I don't see many fighters in the sport of boxing PERIOD with that SUPERSTAR POTENTIAL or "IT" Factor! We all thought it was Canelo and while he is doing well even he haven't reached that level many thought would but with a impressive win over GGG that can finally boost him to that next level!
But NO just being on ESPN doesn't guarantee Sudden Stardom!Comment

This with Loma.
Lil guy + not destroying people in 2 rounds + not from the US = becoming a super star highly unlikely. If he does more English speaking & do some random sh^t people find interesting, compelling or funny then his chances could change, but as is I'd bet against Loma doing more than having 1 or 2 PPV's his whole career that perform badly or getting some nice ratings on ESPN when he fights someone who's driving the audience better then he is.
Crawford has a much better shot, but Arum is gonna have to cross the aisle to fight guys like Spence, Thurman & Garcia & other PBC guys who are the best guys at 147. Crawford isn't gonna be a star at 140 cuz there isn't enough competition & from there he'll have to entrust his promoter with making the fights that can make him a star + he'll have to win those fights. Those realities in place I think Crawford has pretty large dog odds to overcome himself to enter super star territory.Comment
