I swear some of these Americans you come across are dumb as bricks. It's like they know next to nothing about another culture, another nations set of laws, religious laws etc.

There will be no money involved in this 'divorce'. ******s do not register their marriage in Western states. It's an Islamic marriage and an Islamic divorce. Meaning all he needs to do is say a specific word three times and the divorce is finalized. Therefore no judge in the UK can really make a strong case for it being a state marriage which means no strong case for a wife seeking a huge payout.

The ex wife will get her dowry paid out which was already agreed and set aside BEFORE they got married and thus concludes the end of the 'divorce'.

This is common knowledge to anyone who is well educated and has travelled or lived amongst a diverse community.

If that was the case cohabitating couples would all have a case when they split. Going by the discretion of the judge is not to the letter of the law which again makes any attempt of a judge passing an Islamic marriage off as a Western state marriage very weak and will be easily countered successfully by any half decent divorce lawyer.

There's a reason the dotted line exists in all contracts including marriage. Once you sign that dotted line it's legally binding. Official. Anything else is just someone using opinion instead of the facts which never hold up in court especially for a high profile marriage which will no likely bring article 9 freedom of religion act into disrepute which many judges tend to avoid touching at divorce cases.

Besides it's not like she won't get any money. She'll get her guaranteed dowry which is agreed before the wedding ceremony and must be fulfilled. It won't be much though. It never is.

The opposite result was decided in the case of*El Gamal v Al Maktoum*(2011) which featured a member of the ruling family of Dubai. Here an Islamic ceremony was found to have taken place, but at it was done secretly, with no written evidence, and would be unlikely to be recognised as valid in some ****** countries, the court decided it did not amount to a marriage capable of recognition as such under English law.

Khan can still be divorce ****d if the judge wishes and seeing as the UK divorce courts are heavily biased for women, this most likely will happen.

On top of that imagine if the judge was a woman.
