**** Manny, I hope Horn knocks him out this time. Pacquiao is everything thats wrong with boxing. Cheater/cherry picking match-making.

Good on Arum ripping that clown off with 28% of his purse.

plus he sold with ortiz, maidana, guerrero. those dudes weren't big names.

mayweather vs ortiz sold more than de la hoya vs Hopkins.
more than de la hoya vs Vargas. more than de la hoya vs Mosley.

and that's without a hall of fame opponen.

      again just facts bro
You are certainly entitled to your opinion. He promoted the fight as the last fight of his career and If you are the best fighter of your era people are going to want to see your final fight regardless of your opponent. Doing 400,00-550,000 buys shows that the fans were no longer Interested In him. He did huge numbers against other fighters who were capable of doing huge numbers on their own, Pacquiao, Canelo and now Mcgregor. I am not saying he didn't do respectable numbers with ordinary opponents but I truly believe that his dismal performance against Pacquiao had more to do with his decline than choosing Berto as his opponent and the same goes for Pacquiao.

Just the fact that people were never going to see him In a boxing ring again should have sold his last PPV. I don't think Thurman or Brook would have done 800k PPV buys, just my opinion.

I don't think we will see Floyd after Mcgregor unless Floyd should somehow lose and than we will get the rematch. If he did decide to hang around he would still do some big PPV numbers with the following guys, Crawford, Spence, Pacquiao rematch, winner of Golovkin vs Canelo.

You are right on those names, not sure about Berto but I don't recall the purse from his Mayweather fight.

Where did I say he'd make 2 million, I mentioned 2 million in regards to PBC fighters. You know Pacquaio is making $15 million with PBC based on what exactly? The countless $15 million dollar plus fight purses PBC has paid out to 1 single fighter? It's hilarious the praise heaped upon PBC for bringing boxing back out of HBO/Showtime subscriptions but criticize any one else doing it. He's getting his, however they work it out behind the scenes, they get him his check and the shht clears. Boxing hasn't groomed its next welter weight ppv king so PPV is dead at 147 unless its Amir Khan with a ton of buys looking to see him turn into floor mat at some point of the match, anything else regardless of how good the matchup is won't put Pacquaio back in the million buy section again.

wait, you said he was world level and an ATG, so again, I'm asking you a simple question, why do you think he is overrated?

He can only be overrated if you don't think he was world class and/or an ATG.

Relatively speaking(as far as other atgs go) he is overrated af....comparing him to henry Armstrong or duran is a ****ing joke......his constant cherrypicking and cw fights has ruined the sport and set a bad example for the up coming fighters.
