Won his titles from mediocre opponents who no one remembers, got chucked by broner, the haircut, his accusations and hate towards pac, and mcgregor fiasco. to top it off, his loyalty to mayweather was rewarded by floyd sr. Can't disagree with you on that. I don't always like Paulie, but in this situation I can't really fault him. Good or bad, it's all adding up to the hype.
