Comments Thread For: Hearn Expects Joshua to Face Pulev 10/28 or 11/11 in Cardiff

Now that Wladimir Klitschko has retired, promoter Eddie Hearn has turned his attention toward finalizing an Anthony Joshua-Kubrat Pulev fight for the fall. Hearn told London's Daily Mail on Thursday that he expects England's Joshua to make a mandatory defense of his IBF heavyweight title against Bulgaria's Pulev either on October 28 or November 11 in Cardiff, Wales. The Joshua-Pulev fight likely will take place at Principality Stadium, the site of the Joe Calzaghe-Mikkel Kessler super middleweight showdown in November 2007 (then Millennium Stadium).

Not really news. The fact that their intention for Joshua to fight 3 times next year is news, as that'll almost certainly mean that Joshua v Wilder will happen. If it doesn't then Joshua can only be ducking Wilder as in terms of opponents there's only really Ortiz, Parker and Wilder that are worth fighting for him.

Yeah it's all ajs fault because wilder has shown he's willing to fight the best opposition I mean just look at his record in 38 fights....

Exactly... Not a single champion fought worse opposition in his 1'st 38 fights.

        Ortiz talk was all bluff.

AJ has already ko'd 3 current top 10 HWs per ESPN rankings - Wlad, Whyte, Brazeale....Pulev will b #4!!! Impressive in 20 fights... especially compared to Bum-Squad's pitiful, pathetic 38 fight resume!!!

Pulev might be Top 6 HW boxer right now since Wlad retired.

AJ, Wilder, Ortiz, Povetkin, Parker, Pulev.
