Comments Thread For: Hearn: Bellew-Haye II is Virtually Dead, Impossible To Reach Deal

According to promoter Eddie Hearn, fans can forget about a fall rematch between David Haye and Tony Bellew. The two British rivals collided back in March in a pay-per-view main event. Bellew, who was the WBC cruiserweight champion at the time, moved up to the heavyweight division to pull off a shocking eleven round stoppage of Haye.

Ah well, not the end of the world.

I did want to see the rematch.

      Haye still thinks it's 2010. He's no A-side.

Bellew is delusional. He actually believes he got a legit win and is trying to milk it. Any other fighter would be embarrassed that a guy with one leg went half a fight with them.

Haye is still the bigger name and has more fans. I guarantee whoever he fights next there'll be a 15k+ crowd. Can't say that for Bellew.

just frustration, and perhaps a veiled warning or two, from Hearn

              he will plug on

I think it will happen, because they both need each other

Bellew needs to pull his head in

40% is better than being undressed by Andre Ward for bugger all

Exactly right! It's so embarrassing that this guy has gone on his shlt talking tour based on losing to the guy while his leg held up, then beating him after his achilles ruptured and turned to mush.

Yeah I think it will happen too. I don't think Haye goes anywhere without avenging it, injury or not he laboured against someone he was meant to smash in two rounds. And Bellew wants a big one to go out on.
