Oh you're sprinting at him now?! Well Cardio Conor will be out in 3 or 4 instead of 7 or 8. Conor is an amazing MMA fighter and says he's preparing for a fight, but this is a boxing match. And no matter who he spars and no matter how many pictures and rants he posts, he's going to lose. He's 0-0 as a boxer. Max Kellerman was saying that even though Mayweather doesn't knock a lot of PROFESSIONAL fighters out anymore, the velocity of his punches is scary and almost perfectly accurate and he doesn't think someone like McGregor can stand up to them over time while tiring out. Conor is doing all of this talking because A. that's what he does, but B. he also knows he's going to lose and is trying to get past that in his mind. Supposedly Paulie danced circles around him in sparring and Conor couldn't even wobble or hurt him. He'd just try to smother him.

As if. I mean, Maidana was throwing those huge overhand bombs and bum rushing Floyd, shoving, getting nitty gritty.

But even if Maidana was throwing wild, he was doing it with serious boxing background and knowledge. He knows his distance, knows the sport -- even if his approach seemed crude, he was in his element.

Conor WISHES he could "come out Maidana style" but he can't.

Maidana's frame and arm length enabled this too. There's a video where Maidana uses a high guard to close the distance and Floyd can't do much about it because his arms block almost every jab and straight punch (Floyd's bread and butter) and Floyd wasn't comfortable enough to throw a hook because of Maidana's bullying.

I don't think McG (an amateur boxer) will be able to close the distance without taking significant punishment and Floyd's going to fight on the inside and work the body to gas him and make a stoppage easier

If he comes in reckless Floyd will counter him and possibly get his first KO since 2007. Lunging in is never a good idea in boxing. This will be interesting to see. I don't think Floyd will fall into the trap of taking unnecessary risks that's not his style but Connor might be able to get under Floyd skin with his antics.

Good grief. Mayweather is NOT scoring a knockout. This fight won't be any different than the May/Pac fight. Pot shot, run, pot shot, run.

What's going to be funny is when Conor realizes how hard it is to actually hit Floyd. He's used to facing guys in the UFC who just come at him and barely move their head at all. He's going to be taking 2-3 shots just to barely land 1, probably not a KO but I definitely see a stoppage coming. He's going to get hit way too much.

It's more his speed, angles, and how he shocks his opponents with something they aren't expecting. That's the big deal with him, and how Floydie is likely privately concerned about the fight. Sure, he'll likely win, but 'Mr My Health Comes First' will be ****** up no matter what the outcome. And Floydie doesn't like having boo-boos.
