That's a puzzy excuse. Boxing is NOT a team sport and history is littered with tons of examples of fighters who trained together, had the same trainer and still fought. You in the same weight class you both claim to be the best you fight it's that simple. easy solution shields picks one guy he wants to train for the fight or he does what Floyd Sr did and refuses to train or help either fighter and let the best man win. Then he can work with one or both after the fight. But don't give me this trainer conflict as a legit reason for why he can't fight Lara. Sr's biggest cash cow was Oscar and Floyd Jr was his son who he trained before and after their fight. You can't get a bigger conflict then your biggest fighter wanting to phuk up your own son. And that didn't stop Floyd and Oscar from fighting. So don't tell me punk azz Shields is a reason to prevent Charlo from fighting Lara.

On top of that one of the Charlo sisters left Shields years ago and doesn't even train him anymore and STILL he won't fight lara so that's bullshyt. The other charlo sister just moved to 160 and won't even mention Jacobs name and they don't have the same trainer either. He rather fight bums and 1 legged fighters then top guys in the same promotional stable. SMH

That's the entire point why Mikey moved up in weight and why he has said nobody else matters at 135 if I can't get Linares or Loma he's fighting at a higher weight. Not because he's ducking wack azz Easter but because he brings nothing to the table. If he stays at 135 and fights bums and doesn't fight Linares/Loma OR Easter then sure we can change this discussion. But how is he ducking Easter when he just fought his boss who is bigger and better then Easter? And is trying to fight elite fighters at 135 who are all ranked and are in higher regarded in the sport then Easter?

I don't think Loma vs Garcia will happen any time soon. Maybe late next year or much later. Same thing with Crawford vs Garcia.

I also don't see GBP rushing to make the Linares/Garcia fight. It's hard enough to make fights in house let alone with competing promoters/networks.

After a long layoff because of a legal dispute that bout was about establishing himself back as a world champ in boxing. After making 1m to beat Broner he he doesn't need another paper belt at 135 he's looking for elite fighters or moving up for bigger and better paydays.

On paper, Easter vs Mikey is an easier fight to make as both fighters fight on the same network and PBC banner.
The ironic thing here is here's a guy who left TR supposedly to look for greener pasture. Yet he still wants to use TR's resources for his benefit.
It's like Canelo wanting to fight PBC fighters after leaving Showtime.
Somehow fans expect TR to just cave in and make it easy for Garcia to get what he wants despite their acrimonious parting.
If that is the case, why then stop with Garcia?

Must be new to boxing, Canelo has fought PBC fightres recently, Khan and Chavez Jr. Garcia doesn't need Top Ranks resources, only reason he mentions those names is because he's being asked about them and Loma has been running his mouth about wanting to fight Mikey.
