Adrien Broner didn't deliver the victory he predicted, but he helped generate good ratings again for Showtime on Saturday night. Broner's 12-round, unanimous-decision defeat to Mikey Garcia drew Showtime's biggest audience for a live boxing match in 2 years. According to ratings released by Nielsen Media Research on Tuesday, the Garcia-Broner bout peaked at 937,000 viewers and attracted an average audience of 881,000 viewers.

Surprisingly good, considering UFC 214 was on the same night. Broner is definitely a popular fighter, so he can still make great paydays despite the loss.

Showtime gets big numbers (at least for Showtime) when Broner fights. Their 2 biggest fights of the year have been Broner-Garcia and Broner-Granados, by far.

Imagine how popular boxing would be if every single fighter acted a fool and ran their mouth like Broner.

Great ratings like they always are for every broner fight..... Broner holds ratings records on showtime and spike tv.... So these are not good ratings they are great ratings.... Jon jones vs dc was on the same night and that did 1 million plus ppv also....

Great numbers. I doubt UFC 214 broke 600K on the same night. Slow death to the "UFC taking over boxing" narrative..
