Dont see too many people talking about Jarrett Hurd in this forum. Any fans? Any predictions on Hurd-Trout?

Also, where does he stand in his division? Can he compete with guys like Charlo? Decent fighter and he seems to have good power too

I'm pulling for Trout but maybe he's a gatekeeper now. Hurd is going to have to move to middleweight eventually.

Hard to say. He's had one challenging fight against Harrison and in that fight he fought in a totally opposite way to how he usually does.

He's usually a defensive counter puncher/boxer puncher with great accuracy and power. In that fight he was a pressure fighter/brawler type of guy.

Understandably, it was a good strategy. Harrison has stamina and chin issues, so fighting that way allowed him to walk Harrison down and knock him out. It was similar to what GGG did to Brook and what I think GGG will do to Canelo (stamina issues).

It's also a good sign coz prior to the Harrison fight I thought that Hurd might have stamina issues coz he seemed to like laying on the ropes and he fought at an a very slow pace (liked to dictate pace). Now that I know he can switch it up if he has to I believe he really gonna be a problem for the guys at 154 and 160 when he moves up.

Simple one word title, I can dig it.

As for Hurd, he's incredibly slow and I expect Trout to give him a boxing lesson when they fight.

I like Hurd but this was the wrong fight to take.

I'm not sold on Hurd.. He is slow on his feet & if I'm being honest he would have lost to Jermall if he had faced him for the title.. Hell even Jermell, Lara & Andrade would beat him..

Isnt Hurd from Baltimore? would become a huge fan if he named himself after Bird from the Wire.
