I dunno man.
Honestly speaking, it's kinda difficult for anybody to gauge just how much of a chance you have at making it as a pro, especially since none of us have seen what skills you possess, and all we have is a list of physical attributes to go off of. I'll give it a try though.
- Okay, so being 5'7, I would highly recommend you cut down from 175lbs as much as possible and remain healthy. Like seriously. Even if your reach is insane, I just can't recommend staying at 175. Maybe try going between 147-160. But that's one hell of a drop.
- Switch to a dedicated boxing gym, man. An MMA gym with a boxing trainer might not be the best place for somebody looking to become a professional boxer. Get yourself into a specialised boxing gym.
- There's absolutely no guarantee that you'll make it. There are no guarantees in life. You can't base a life decision on absolutes. Take a ****ing chance, and go for it. Dedicate yourself to boxing, put in the hard yards, and believe in yourself. Carlos Baldomir was selling ****ing feather dusters before he beat the **** outta Zab Judah. Do you think he sat there, waiting for a magic 8-ball to confirm that he'd make it as a boxer? Of course not. Dude took a leap of faith, and went for it. So either have the drive and determination to do it, or don't try at all.
