Why are the standards for Ward so ridiculous?

Roy Jones Jr. was allowed to struggle with Griffin and not get any flack for it.

Bernard Hopkins went life and death with Segundo Mercado.

James Toney went life and death with Dave Tiberi.

Calzaghe was going life and death with bums throughout his entire career, plenty to pick from.

These men were already 20+ fights into their careers near or in their primes.

Ward has 2 competitive fights with arguably the hardest hitting LHW of all time, a P4P quality fighter, and people shyt all over him for it.

He's barely had 32 fights and his resume is pure quality. He could've taken the route these guys took, racking up 20+ fights against guys you never heard of, picking up easy W's, getting his record to 40-0 if he truly wanted to. Instead 20 fights in the man goes from fighting Miranda and Pudwill to Kessler, Abraham, Froch etc. talk about getting thrown into the fire.

Even before his pro career started he was thrown in with the wolves, voluntarily fighting at Light Heavy when he could've fought at MW, taking down a 6'5 Russian for the Gold that hadn't lost a fight in over 5 years. This guy is a ****ing legend.

If the standard is not to cheat or have your promoter or manager pay off judges and ref then I'm afraid he hasn't passed it

      Tough fighter

Top 10 in the 2000-2015 era IMO

And a winner. Does anything to win. When things get tough , he fouls. And having favourable officials helps when that happens

Ward will be appreciated just like those legends when he's retired and no longer beating people's favorite fighters.

All of those fighters were criticized during their careers and appreciated more in hindsight.

The criticism keeps fans wanting more and creates interest for Ward to continue fighting the best and making the best fights possible.

Funny thing is that it's the fans of a fighter that ducked him that hate him the most. These fans were running around calling people ducks and that they hate ducks and when their boy got exposed as on it really pissed them off. Instead of attacking the one ducking they attacked the guy that exposed him.

I feel comfortable saying that Ward lost the first fight with Kov and although he was the better fighter in the rematch, it wasnt a definitive win due to the B.S stoppage.
