Both are 100% black but I didn't include 122 or lower on purpose.
If we want to include all 17 divisions then the number of blacks vs all other races/ethnicities drop dramatically at the lower weights. So if we want to include all weights then only 6/17 divisions are dominated by blacks.
To put it another way 35% of all boxing divisions are dominated by blacks.
That sounds worse than 5/12 which is 42%.Comment

This is a legitimate question about what happened to the dominant black fighter. Go back 20 years and the number of divisions dominated by black fighters was about 11 or 12 out of 17. There's been a pretty big drop in top black fighters across all weights.Comment

Boxing is global sport and we're seeing more talent coming from Europe and Asia. That's good for boxing.
That's one of the reason MMA is so popular world wide. Some of the best fighters are outside the US.Comment

Why are you so worried about black men? What an odd fascination with the BBC. Your inferiority is showing.Comment

Blacks have more champions than white and Hispanic champions combined. There's another fact.
Statistically speaking, are black fighters dominating boxing based off those stats? Yes.Comment
