Which was why when a Thread was made of Who wins between Mikey Garcia vs Danny Garcia, I said at 140, I got Mikey winning all day, but at 147 that's where many questions linger. And while M Garcia is more talented than D Garcia, weight difference and punches at 147 are a big difference.

If Mikey ever decides to test 147, the Garcia battle is as an intriguing match that can be made for Mikey.
I never felt Danny Garcia took power up with him to 147. In fact, i always felt his power was overrated. He is pretty good with his timing and has decent power but he definitely isn't the big puncher he's made out to be.

Broner has a good chin and you have to fight him with caution due to his power. Broner has never been knock out

Oh I never coined Danny as a big puncher. At 147 he has 4 fights and his 2 KO wins were against Malignaggi and Vargas. He's never been a big puncher. I mean he has good power but not big power.

Just was mentioning that while Mikey is more talented that a move to 147 against Garcia would be a good fight since Danny is naturally bigger and the punches at higher weights, well you will feel the difference.

Mikey mentioned in an interview I saw after the fight that he knows he was outweighed in the fight with Broner and that he felt the difference at 140 and that he wasn't sure if his power carried up.

Someone made a thread yesterday of the Garcias fighting each other. So I was just saying at 147 it would be intriguing because of the many questions of moving up to 147. Mikey is more skillful but at 147 it would be a very, very interesting fight. I'd like to see that match up at some point relatively soon.

Broners got a good chin. 5 pounds dont matter that much. They need get rid of all the jrs and get back to old school weight divisions. To many games and loopholes. And same day weigh ins also.

I was only stating the facts. Each time Maidana touched Broner he hurt him and they were not from flush clean shots either. On the other hand, Mikey threw over 800 punches and didn't even come remotely close to hurting or stopping Broner. That's all you to need to know about his punching power at 140.

Moreover, having your best victory coming against a washed up and shot fighter; Who was initially a 5 to 1 underdog is not only sad but is beyond pathetic.

I know triangle theories don't work..... AND, styles make fights

and, it was just sparring..... sure

but, Mikey has sparred Chino HEAPS, not just once

he has gone many rounds with Chino, and he handled him just fine

they had some heated sessions..... and Maidana went hard, because Mikey dished him up a few times

I would even go further..... Mikey knew him too well, being the more technical fighter

in saying that..... if he cannot land Lomachenko/Linares/Easter at LW Mikey should look to settle in at 140 and then go for Crawford, but it really depends on his weight

not sure how he makes lightweight

I'm sure he will end up at welter eventually..... but there are half-a-dozen good fights for Garcia at 140 and below, and there are no real money fights at welter other than Pacquiao..... which will never happen

swift, maybe..... but yea he should stick to 140 if the lightweights don't want none

yea, maybe that would be a good fight

but Lomachenko then Crawford would be better

                  5 pounds can matter plenty

hope that you aren't a Golovkin, Canelo, or Pacquiao fan

they cannot/will not, ever go back to the original 8 divisions

Oh yeah, yeah. I really want to see Loma vs Garcia.

I was just saying if Mikey ever ventures up to 147, the battle of the Garcias is a good place to start.

Terence Crawford, I think Mikey should get more fights under his belt at 140 before fighting Crawford. That's quite a task to rush into. Lol

147 would be a bit of a stretch for Mikey at this stage in his career. I would give the nod to Danny at this point.
