I'd say Broner, he's more skilled and therefore more of a wasted talent. Chavez was just a name who took advantage of weight cutting with a good chin.

Both got questionable decisions against guys they should have beat easily. Both lose lopsided fights when they step up. Both are ******s outside of the ring. It's hard to say....

Broner did the same in 130 and 135 pounds, being a natural 140 pounds.

At least Chavez destroyed Martinez in round 11 and 12.

Broner never did anything good against elite opposition.

        And Broner doesn't have talent.

QUESTION? Can anybody tell me anything about either of these fighters Amateur Careers? Not Likely! You kinda see it last night, Mikey been in the gym all his life! Father trained Fernando Vargas, Brother was a Boxer so Boxing is in the Garcia Family BLOOD!

Broner on the other had, seems like a IMITATOR! A Cheap China Knockoff Version of a Old Brittle Hands Floyd Mayweather with the Pot Shot 1 Punch, Back Foot BULL****! Mikey on the other hand, PURE BOXING FUNDAMENTALS at its finest! Very High In Ring IQ!

Broner and Chavez Jr are PRETENDERS who look every bit of the pretenders that they are in Big Match Ups vs Top Tier Talent!

Not even a Broner fan but I have to call BS on the bold. Broner is talented, it might not be at the elite level, but he's talented offensively.

That being said, I think you're right overall. Chavez Jr.'s greatest assets are his name, chin and ability to manipulate/negotiate weight. He's managed to achieve a decent measure of success with a limited skillset.

Broner appears to have the physical attributes but not the mental.....

All things considered, both guys still had good careers and made more money than most. Not everybody is Mayweather or Chavez; if you don't compare those guys to them, they did well.

The talent of Broner is of a mediocre level.

And he has a bad defense, this guy is a imitator, but is not effective.

He do things like Floyd, like the Philly Shell but in a mediocre level, without effectiveness. That's the reason why I said that he is not talented.

Chavez Jr is limited but at least fought in some battles, did some things.

Broner always was like "I'm being humiliated, ok, no problem".

Junior by a damn long shot! Without his name he would not have been in the spot light at all IMO.
