Because they overrated the guy's ability and can't accept they were wrong because it's not good for their ego, so look for something else to blame for why they were wrong instead. Happens all the time.
His corner did their job. they didnt tell him to get fat as **** between fights, drink, do drugs, post **** pics on instgram, fight in parking lots because your ego cant handle losing a freaking bowling game.
