I'm not going to front. I have no problem rooting for their own ethnic/national background when it comes to a sport. Most people want to root for people that look like them in some form or fashion. I'm already on record as liking Garcia. And frankly I'm convinced Broner is a better fighter - WHEN he shows the hell up.

That Broner failed to show up doesn't take away from Garcia's win, but the fact remains - Garcia didn't look elite as a result of this win. That's my point.

I picked Mikey by wide UD when the fight was announced and I'm sticking by that. Your first instinct when a fight is first made, more often than not turns out to be right. All this back and forth bull**** about odds, AB being motivated etc is garbage.

Good call. I had it the same way. Mickey is such a fundamentally sound fighter. When Broner is pressured by an elite fighter he can't handle it. Him shaking his head all night after Garcia kept pummeling him was his only response.

Ponce De Leon: Here we go again with hypocrisy about CompuBox. Here, you have CompuBox clearly - CLEARLY - having Broner ahead where it matters, yet people still have this myth that De Leon won the fight. It was close, not a robbery. At the end of the day, Broner took the win with more effective aggression.

DeMarco: world champion. Destroyed. Why? Broner was the aggressor.

Malignaggi: Again, conveniently ignoring CompuBox who clearly had Broner dominating the fight on output. Most media had Broner winning 9 rounds to 3. The only thing Paulie did that swung one judge was that Paulie was the ring general in every round. At the end of the day, Broner was more accurate and did more damage to Paulie, evident by his face. AND took his girl.

And he didn't do that in this fight. That's the "problem". That's a choice he made.

At no point was he hurt by anything Mikey threw. Immediately after the fight, on ES, he was unmarked and looked fresh out of a sauna, while Garcia is holding ice on his face. The boy didn't show up.

It's funny how similar that was to Pac/Horn, yet here people believe the opposite of what they see.
