EDIT: Mikey Garcia has masterfully blocked the voodoo magic and broke the curse.

You see, there is a BoxingScene member that we all know.

This member, I have determined, is a voodoo shaman. When they change their name to match a fighter, that fighter ends up losing in spectacular fashion and going on a downward spiral. Thus, smart money is to bet on the opponent of whoever they name - which is to say, bet on the A-Side fighter.

Just for the record: I like Mikey, good guy like Loma, friendly, professional, good character, standup guy. But just like Loma, being severely overhyped too soon. If he pulls off the upset I will stand up and cheer for the guy, and he will deserve the accolade he gets. But let's be real: the only reason the odds are what they are is because you never can tell which Broner will show up come fight night. Has nothing to do with Mikey.

Also let's not forget that Garcia is susceptible to counter right hands. Here's a good video that gives hints of what we *might* see if Broner comes in focused.

There's no question Broner is skilled. It's his lack of focus outside (and sometimes) inside the ring. Garcia is always focused and has his own set of skills. I'm looking forward to the fight.

I can see Broner scoring a KD but I don't think Garcia will stay down just like he did against Martinez. The one thing I've been thinking about is, can Garcia hold up if this fight gets into the late rounds? We really haven't seen him in a long grueling fight. Broner has shown he can go the distance. I just CANNOT pick Broner.
