Because it aint a team sport dummy. You train with tons of fighters and when the time comes you have to fight them. That's the way it's always been in boxing. Puzzy excuse to avoid fighting the best guys at your weight. Simple as that. Get another trainer or tell your trainer to sit it out like Floyd sr did when Oscar his fighter fought his own son.

Floyd sr you idiot. Stop training his most important fighter because wanted no parts of training another man to fight his own son. Oscar got another trainer and sr stayed out of both his son and his top fighters camp for their fight. This is the lamest excuse to not fight the best guys in your own weight! Get another trainer or have your trainer be neutral and stay out it. Puzzy to use this as excuse to prevent fights.

Lets see how he does at middleweight. If Charlo impresses vs Hailand as expected then it adds to his resume but it still doesn't prove much more than that hes a real MW as Heiland is far from an impressive name on a record.(nohoper) I do think Jermall will be much better at middleweight though as he will be able to use his size better without being drained like at 154,but it still seems like hes not a huge puncher based on his previous fights,he didn't seem like his punches had enough for the mw division vs Trout thats for sure & hes far from the most technically gifted,as vs trout he looked sloppy af.

Im mentioning trout BECAUSE thats the only elite opponent hes fought. I want to make clear that im not saying Charlo can't become p4p no1 im only saying its rediculous to say hes done anything to prove it so far. Your right if floyd/Oscar can be made despite floyd Sr having stronger connection to the fighters (his own son who he trianed before and since that fight and his biggest client oscar) then no way shields is a problem for charlo fighting lara dumb azzz. What are you a newbie fighters who are friends and have trained together have fought one another throughout the history of the sport. This is not a team sport idiot friendship don't matter be friends before and after you fight. Shields can either pick one or stay out it.

Thats the gayest excuse ever!!! Canelo had trained with Ggg before they were anything big & were freinds,& there's many other examples ive listed Ali/Patterson Ali/Frasier Barrera/Johny Tapia & countless other examples.

On the contrary it happens all the time. Champions moving up usually get first preference for titles, it's even a rule when you're the WBO champ you automatically get a shot against the WBO champ in the higher division.

Also Charlo is not only an unbeaten former champion, he also beat Trout (best win for Canelo) and knocked out arguably the most hyped and rated, unbeaten contender and mandatory in his previous fight.

Aint no way any of those fools you mentioned were more deserving than Charlo, including Jacobs, who was only the regular WBA champion.
