If Canelo makes Golovkin quit/corner stop, you MUST recognize the new TBE.

If GGG outboxes Canelo over 12 - handily - the same way Floyd did? Then he must be acknowledged as a great fighter. Not TBE.

The only way he can become TBE is to actually move up in weight and beat people. I know the Ward ship has sailed, but there are others. You can't be TBE when all of your accolades happened at one weight class - you haven't fought anybody. Hell, even Valero had wins in two weight classes.
That is a double standard if I ever saw one. Neither will be TBE. They are both very good fighters but they both have avoided challenging themselves. Canelo finally stepped up, lets see how he fares.

I don't want to hear about how "old" Golovkin is.

All I'm saying - and I'm not guaranteeing nothing - all I'm saying is that if Canelo straight up stops Golovkin...you MUST bow down to the ginger. Period point blank.

Not only that, you MUST acknowledge that if Golovkin can't get past a clearly slower Canelo, there'd be no way he'd get past Mayweather at 154.

That's the excitement of the fight. It's must-win for G. That's the real test.

Oh, and another thing. I don't want to see **** jumping off the ship and on the Charlo bandwagon either like people did when Manny got schooled.
Agree 100%. It works both ways though. In the reverse scenario you have to acknowledge all of the above with regard to Golovkin.

Negative. GGG can't get excessive credit for doing something he's expected to do! By that logic you credit Ortiz for quitting? No! You credit him for winning - as sad as that is - because nobody expects him to do anything other than quit at this point.

The only way Golovkin gets recognized as TBE is to move up in weight and beat people as he's done at 160. Period. He has to dominate AT LEAST two weight classes.

Amir F'n Khan has fought in FOUR weight classes at nearly the same number of fights. I don't want to hear that.

what a dumb thread, cause hes not going to get stopped. the guys not been knocked down in 400 fights yet people like this making out him getting stopped by a 154 pounder with average power is a possibility? Its a load of bull****.

I think you don't know what TBE means to be honest. What kind of fighter you have to be to be even considered as the potential TBE.

I said "IF" it happens. You make it seem impossible. Same was said about Brook quitting. We saw what happened.
